Dieting Done The Easy Way

We’re either dieting less or lying about our diets more

Plans, shopping lists and food diaries are always a good place to start – plan your meals for the week ahead, get the shopping list written and bought and then keep track of everything you eat – you can really see how much food you consume and what needs changing and what doesn’t. But for those who still need a helping hand, there are Diet delivery systems in place to help – and we couldn’t be more thankful for them. Of course there are the likes of Diet Chef and Saints & Slimmers which is pre-packaged food that you can usually buy in a months supply, but we really champion the fresh stuff. Dieting makes you fatter

A review of 31 long-term dieting studies showed that most people who diet actually end up heavier. One possible explanation is that hormonal changes resulting from restrictive diets mess garcinia cambogia side effects with our appetites. An Australian study http://finance.yahoo.com/news/garcinia-cambogia-extract-investigation-now-190000760.html in 2011 showed that hormone levels had still not normalised a full year after its subjects’ diets. “Leptin [a hormone that regulates appetite] falls and ghrelin [a hormone that stimulates appetite] rises after weight loss,” says its author, Joseph Proietto. Participants in a Columbia University study, who had dieted to shed 10% of their bodyweight, and were therefore low in leptin, were presented with a “parade” of foods while hooked up to an fMRI scanner, which looks at brain activity.
